Mike Towndrow is an audio engineer, musician, & composer, as well as the lead audio engineer, equipment manager, & an educator at the Jacob Burns Film Center Media Arts Lab in Pleasantville, New York.

Mike works with filmmakers, musicians, YouTube content creators, podcasters, & artists internationally. He has worked with filmmakers such as Emily Ann Hoffman, Leah Galant, Kervin Marseille, Lucy Adams, Sean Weiner, & more on various shorts, features, and animations. His work has been heard in films featured at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, the Twister Alley Film Festival, & the Urban World Film Festival. He has also worked with musicians including Hudson Link’s A Few Good Men, Universal Music songwriter Robert Porembski, Rio Azul, Beach Angel, Wess Meets West, Lady Slim, So Yesterday, & Another Astronaut.

Mike composes & records original music, & has performed alongside artists including Chiodos, Silverstein, Vanna, Go Radio, & Emarosa.

He also composes musical scores for shorts, features, podcasts & video games.

Mike is the lead recording & post production audio engineer for ‘Deconstructing The Beatles’ film series.

Mike has a Bachelors of Science in Music Industry & Technology from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
